Yvonne from Tart Tales gave us a great walking tour of the Historic Seaport area along with delicious samples of Key Lime Pies in the area. Yvonne told us the history of the seaport, the creation of the first key lime “pie” and the stories of each restaurant where we sampled the pies. We finished at a rum distillery with a yummy key lime colada! The tour is about 1.5 hours, easy and casual , a fun and tasty way to explore part of Key West!

At the end of the tour the tour guide distributes ballots so everyone can cast their vote. And we enjoyed a wonderful learning experience about the origins of Key Lime pie, the difference between Key Limes and a regular lime, the sponge trade and so much more.
